On the afternoon of October 27th , the Third Session of the Fifth Council of China Overseas Development Association (hereinafter referred to as CODA ) was held in Beijing. Mr. He Zhenwei, the president of CODA presented a work report on behalf of the Fifth council, and Mr. Jiang Yun, Secretary-General of CODA presided over the meeting.
Mr. He Zhenwei summarized the work of the association this year and pointed out that CODA have focused on four key areas, achieving new changes and progress compared to the previous year. In the next phase, CODA will continue to carry out various tasks, with a primary focus on solidifying service efforts and enhancing the development of association in seven key areas to achieve better results.
As an important section for this meeting, CODA had the special privilege of inviting Mr. Wu Dahui, Vice-President of Russian Institute, Tsinghua University, to deliver a report on the international situation.
Mr. Jia Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Sixth Joint Party Committee of Industry Associations and Chambers of Commerce, attended the meeting for guidance. Representatives from domestic government departments, including the Jilin Province Development and Reform Commission, Jiangxi Development and Reform Commission, Harbin Municipal People's Government, Changchun Municipal People's Government, Hunchun Municipal People's Government, Tacheng District Development and Reform Commission, Harbin Bureau of Commerce, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Department of Commerce, Development and Reform Bureau of the Harbin New Area Management Committee, Sanya Central Business District, Beijing Haidian District Federation of Industry and Commerce, Tacheng District Administrative Service Center, as well as over 160 representatives from member companies, including China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd., China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, and China Gezhouba Group Overseas Investment Co., Ltd., participated in this session.
