On September 7th, Secretary General Jiang Yun visited the Embassy of France in China and held discussions with Pascal Gondrand, Director for China of Business France in China and Hannah Fatton, Economic counsellor of French Treasury on strengthening information exchange, deepening friendly cooperation, and business investment.
Pascal Gondrand stated that in recent years, economic and trade relations between France and China have steadily developed. Business France in China is committed to promoting and supporting bilateral trade and investment. It is open to strengthening communication and cooperation with the China Overseas Development Association (CODA).
Jiang Yun expressed that in the 20 years since its establishment, CODA has helped Chinese enterprises "go global" and bring high-quality overseas resources "inward," accumulating rich practical experience. In particular, the annual event "China Oversea Investment Fair" (COIFAIR) organized by the CODA focuses on hotpots and key areas for Chinese enterprises' overseas investments. It serves as an efficient platform for negotiation and cooperation between Chinese and foreign enterprises, earning widespread acclaim. In 2024, which marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France and the Year of China-France Cultural Tourism, CODA plans to maintain close contact with the French Embassy in China and strengthen and deepen cooperation.
