Huaihai Group’s Visit to CODA

On August 28th, Vice President Xing Hongyan of Huaihai Holdings Group (referred to as “Huaihai Group”) visited China Overseas Development Association. They had a discussion with Secretary General Jiang Yin about the company’s various business sectors in recent years, especially the electric vehicle market and international business development. Deputy Secretary General Zhang Hong also attended the meeting.

Xing Hongyan mentioned that currently, Huaihai Group has distribution networks in 119 countries and regions worldwide. Their electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, and other products have been the industry’s number one exports for six consecutive years. She also introduced the group’s development plans in the “going global” strategy.

Jiang Yin welcomed Xing and her team’s visit, expressed gratitude for the continuous support provided by Huaihai Group as a vice president unit, and congratulated them on being named among the top 500 private enterprises and top 500 private manufacturing enterprises in China. Jiang Yin believes that as a leading domestic enterprise in the micro-vehicle field and an export-leading brand, Huaihai Group’s deep cultivation and internationalization will continue to improve. He also hopes that Huaihai Group will have a broader vision in “going global” and become a world-class Chinese manufacturing company.

Both sides focused on discussing the current development trends, opportunities, challenges, difficulties, and bottlenecks in the domestic and international electric vehicle and micro-car markets. They expressed their intention to make good use of the China Ocean Association and the Micro Vehicle Committee’s platform to jointly plan for greater achievements in overseas development with upstream and downstream companies in the industry chain.

CODA arranged a special visit for Huaihai Group, accompanying them to the embassies of Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Hungary, where they held meetings with the heads of their respective business and economic departments. This was done to assist Huaihai Group in promoting foreign investment cooperation, expanding international business, and helping member companies achieve high-quality “going global.”

Liu Yan, Deputy General Manager of Huaihai Group’s Cross-border E-commerce, and Zhu Zhengdi, Minister of the New Energy Vehicle Division, along with the three departments of our association, participated in the meeting throughout.
