Solar Decathlon China 2021

“第三届中国国际太阳能十项全能竞赛”将于2021年9-10月在河北省张家口市举办，围绕张家口2022年冬季奥运会、国家级可再生能源示范区、首都水源涵养功能区和生态环境支撑区的“两区”建设目标，第三届“SD中国”以“可持续发展、智慧互联、人居健康”三个命题作为本届竞赛的挑战，全球遴选15支高校代表队，设计并建造出兼具示范意义和推广价值的太阳能绿色节能生态房屋。

The final competition of the third SDC will take place in the city of Zhangjiakou, Hubei Province, China, in September-November 2021. SDC Organizing Committee is happy to invite up to 15 teams from the worldwide to bring competing prototypes to meet a triple challenge in the context of the host city — sustainable development, smart connection and human health.

每支入选赛队可获得最高100万人民币资助，和本地搭建相关支持。赛后房屋转交张家口市，组委会将携手政府相关部门，将赛场打造成独一无二的可持续生态示范微型社区，服务于北京-张家口2022年冬奥会举办和国家可再生能源示范区建设，并作为区域可持续发展模式进行推广。赛队赛后一年内还可继续参与房屋运行和监测。

Each of the selected teams can receive one million Chinese RMB in cash and local logistic supports. The city of Zhangjiakou will recognize and maintain the prototypes as facilities serving for its Winter Olympic 2022, living labs of the National Renewable Energy Demonstrative Zone and models for regional sustainable development. Teams are allowed to access them for testing purposes within one year since the completion of the competition.

国际太阳能十项全能竞赛

国际太阳能十项全能竞赛（Solar Decathlon，简称 SD）是一项由美国能源部发起的国际大学生建筑科技竞赛。竞赛要求每个团队设计、建造并运行一栋以太阳能为能源的高性能全尺寸房屋，参与十项指标评比，最终评选出融合完美设计、智慧能源、多样创新和市场潜力的优秀作品。希望通过比赛和展示促进相关产学研融合与交流，推进相关技术创新、发展和商业化。竞赛期间，将全面考核每个参赛作品的节能、建筑物理环境调控及能源自给的能力等，最终通过十个单项评比确定排名，因此称为“十项全能”竞赛。目前在全球范围内已有SD美国、中国、欧洲、中东、非洲、拉美六大组委会。

Solar Decathlon

Initiated by the U.S. Department of Energy, Solar Decathlon (SD) is an award-winning program that challenges collegiate teams to design, build and operate solar-powered houses that are cost-effective, energy-efficient, and attractive. During the competition, the operation of the houses will be solely powered by solar energy. The competition entries will be comprehensively assessed in ten independently scored contests. Solar Decathlon has expanded globally in the United States, China, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America & Caribbean.

中国国际太阳能十项全能竞赛

2011年，“中国国际太阳能十项全能竞赛”作为中美战略经济对话成果落地中国。大赛旨在为在校大学生提供全新教育和职业发展平台，通过建筑、工程、商科、传播等多专业跨学科合作，设计并建造能满足人类日常需求和有利于区域发展的可持续住宅。2017年开始，经美国能源部授权，在能源局、住建部、团中央学校部和各城市支持下，中国产业海外发展协会每两到三年主办一次大赛。第一届大赛于2013年在山西省大同市举办，第二届大赛于2018年在山东省德州市举办。两届大赛吸引了来自19个国家和地区的58所高校，联合650家企业和机构参与。

Solar Decathlon China 

Solar Decathlon China (SDC) initiated in China since 2011, as an achievement of the Sino-U.S. Strategic and Economic Dialogues signed by the U.S. and Chinese governments. SDC aims to create a workforce development and education program which can provide student architects, engineers, business majors, and communicators the opportunity to cooperate in designing and building sustainable housing projects that can respond to people’s daily realities and regional development. China Overseas Development Association (CODA) has organized SDC competitions every two or three years since 2017, with authorization of US Department of Energy and support from the central and local governments in China. The first SDCs was held in Datong, Shanxi Province in 2013 and the second one was in Dezhou, Shandong Province in 2018. 58 universities from 19 countries and regions participated SDC with support from over 650 companies and organizations.
